On March 23, it was learned from Jinxi Petrochemical that since the water heating transformation project of the Dongyoupin facility's Liaohe tank farm was put into operation one and a half months ago, it has saved over 3,700 tons of steam and achieved energy-saving benefits of more than 650,000 yuan, marking a solid step forward for the company in its green and low-carbon transformation.
Previously, Jinxi Petrochemical had completed the water heating transformation of the heavy oil catalytic unit, accumulating transformation experience. This time, the water heating transformation of the Dongyoupin facility's Liaohe tank farm was implemented based on the existing Xifang heat medium water system, taking into account both energy-saving benefits and production safety. It adopted heat medium water as the heating medium instead of traditional steam, reducing steam consumption from the source and further enhancing the comprehensive utilization efficiency of energy.
To ensure continuous and stable production and operational safety, the project retained the original steam heating system during the transformation process, establishing a dual insurance heating mode of "heat medium water + steam". When the heat medium water system malfunctions or extreme weather conditions prevent the tank temperature from being maintained stably, it can quickly switch to the steam heating mode to ensure that the temperature of the crude oil in the tank meets the requirements for safe production.
